Now people might say, Mike you are crazy, Jesus was no socialist, but if you went by the bible, then yes, there are lots of passages, that justify my claim, i will be posting a lot of them, and talk about their meaning, when you read up about these passages you might feel the same way i do. I know when i post this, oh wow are the right wing Christians gonna throw a fit, but if you read the bible like you say you do, then this will come to no surprise then, first a little story, when i go to the internet to debate, i hear Christians scream well Jesus would be for Capitalism, my response is, if you can show me in the bible, and i got this from my cute little sister Shannon :) If you can show me in the bible where it says for the poor to pull themselves up by their boot straps, or for you to get a 401k, and invest in stocks, and bonds, and for the rich to hoard, er i mean keep what they “earn” if you can find verses like that in the bible, i will eat that book! It is frustrating, how can you say you love Jesus, when you have the slightest idea what the man was about? It is like me saying man i love that great country artist Jimi Hendrix, that is what it is like saying. So please people, when you say you like someone by all means at least read up, and get your information right.

And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
If there ever was a bible verse that seemed to show how much of a socialist Jesus was, it is this verse, just read it, it says that we need for the rich to take what they have, and give it back to those who do not have anything.

Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
Another one, just pretty much the same thing. But again i thought that Jesus was for the right wing ideas? I do not see a bible verse where it says that the rich are the job creators, and that the poor are welfare leeches, none yet do you see them?

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened, but that as a matter of fairness your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance may supply your need, that there may be fairness. As it is written, “Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack.”

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days. Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. You have lived on the earth in luxury and in self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. …

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

“If you go into your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, as many as you wish, but you shall not put any in your bag. If you go into your neighbor’s standing grain, you may pluck the ears with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain.

My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet,” have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?
Just more evidence, what Jesus is saying is your possessions should not rule you, and you should not keep those without down, if you do, you will not have a good chance at entering heaven, so the right every time i heart them say GET A JOB YOU LAZY BUM, if they are christian, just throw these verses at them, for Jesus the socialist wanted people to have what they needed to get by, food, and cloths, for the rich to give to the poor, so if any person who says they love Jesus, and read the bible, if you can show me where it says for the poor to pull them selves up by their boot straps, i will eat the bible! Some on the right do not worship Jesus, you worship money, and greed, which is a deadly sin remember?
